The University of Iowa Athletics Department seeks applications for Director of Women’s Basketball Operations.
Responsibilities: Schedule practice facilities home/away; coordinate travel plans for team; oversee budget and financial management; coordinate summer camps, golf tournament and training table; manage film exchange; video breakdown of game and practice film; coordinate equipment and apparel orders; arrange community service events for team; keep game statistics during home and away games; act as liaison with athletics marketing and academic student services; other duties as assigned by head coach.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Other required qualifications: Some (6 months – 1 year) related administrative and program experience; superior writing and communication skills; demonstrated experience working effectively in a diverse environment; effective organizational, administrative, public relations, computer and video editing experience; and a commitment to adhering to all policies, rules and regulations of the University of Iowa, the Big Ten Conference and the NCAA required. Preferred qualifications: Knowledge of the sport of collegiate basketball.
Salary: $37,000 to commensurate, plus University benefits.
Terms of Employment: Full-time, 12-month appointment.
