FORT MYERS, FL — The University of Iowa women’s golf team is tied for eighth after playing 36 holes at the GSU/Pelican Preserve Invitational in Fort Myers, FL. Iowa carded 601 at the Pelican Preserve Golf Club. Louisville is in first with a score of 584.
Leading the Hawkeyes is Jill Marcum (Clarinda, IA) and Karla Murra (Sioux Falls, SD) who are tied for 13th, shooting four over par, 148. Tyrette Metzendorf (Winter Haven, FL) posted a score of 151 (+7) to finish the day tied for 29th. Amy Riepma (Clear Lake, IA) posted a 154, to tie for 48th. The Hawkeyes carded their second lowest round of the season today, 299 in the second round of play.
The Hawkeyes complete fall play with the final round of the GSU/Pelican Preserve Invitational tomorrow with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start in Fort Myers, FL.
