IOWA CITY – University of Iowa freshman-to-be Aimee Huffman has been named the San Antonio Express-News Volleyball Player of the Year. The award includes all classes in the San Antonio area.
Huffman, a 6-0 hitter from Poth, TX, is also a four-time first team all-state selection, two-time district MVP and two-time state tournament MVP. Huffman led her team to class 2A state championships as a sophomore and junior.
“It’s great to see our Hawkeye recruits receiving recognition for their accomplishments,” Iowa Head Coach Cindy Fredrick said. “Aimee is such a quality student-athlete, and we are very excited for her to join the Hawkeyes in the fall.”
