Iowa Completes Day Two At Big Ten Championships

Columbus, OH – The University of Iowa men’s swimming team competed at day two of the Big Ten Championships today on the campus of the Ohio State University. The Hawkeyes are in tenth place with 76 points, while Michigan leads the pack with 405 points.

Junior Dragos Agache placed third in the 100 yard breaststroke championship. Agache posted a time of 54.74 in prelims and 53.77 in the finals. Iowa’s relay team of Wil Whaley, Nate Keeling, Agache, and Brad Jones placed tenth in the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 20.82, while Keeling placed 22nd (49.96) in the 100 yard butterfly bonus final and James Dragon placed 24th in the event (50.02).

The Hawkeyes will compete in the final day of the Big Ten Championships Sunday, beginning with prelims at 12 p.m. and finals at 7 p.m. Fans can follow the action live online at www.ohiostatebuckeyes.com.
