HIGH STANDARD — This year Agache won the 100 breast four times, the 200 breast three times and has recorded 19 top-five finishes. Agache leads the team in both the 100 (53.77) and the 200 breast (1:58.40).

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS — Swimming prelims begin at Noon, with finals at 7 p.m. (times are CST). Agache will compete in the 100 breast on Friday, March 16.

BEEN HERE BEFORE — This will be the second consecutive year that Agache has swam at the NCAA Championships. At the 2006 Championships, he placed 22nd in the 100 breast with a time of 54.64 and 29th in the 200 breast with a 2:02.40.

LAST COMPETITION — Agache last competed at the Big Ten Championships. He recorded NCAA B times — both of which were new school records — in the 100 and 200 breaststroke. His 100 breast time of 53.77 broke the previous record of 53.94 that he set at the 2006 Big Ten Championships. Agache eclipsed the previous 200 breast record by three-hundreths of a second. The record of 1:58.43 was set by Rob Leyshon in 1990.
