LAS VEGAS, NV — The University of Iowa women’s golf team is tied for 11th place after playing 18-holes at the UNLV Spring Invitational Monday. Iowa carded a 299 on the par-72 Boulder Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas, NV. Brigham Young leads the 18-team invitational, with a score of 280.
Karla Murra (Sioux Falls, SD) is tied for 18th after the first round, carding a 72. Amy Riepma (Clear Lake, IA) and Jill Marcum (Clarinda, IA) carded a three over par, 75, to be in a tie for 38th.
Iowa plays the second round tomorrow beginning at 9 a.m. (CDT). The final round is on Wednesday. Live stats are available through golfstat.com.
