COLUMBUS, OH — The University of Iowa women’s golf team is in fourth place after playing 36 holes at the Lady Buckeye Invitational Saturday. Iowa carded a 626 today at the par-72 Ohio State Golf Club. Purdue leads the 14-team invitational with a score of 593.
Leading the Hawkeyes is Melanie Boyles who posted a 155 (+11) to tie for 15th after playing two rounds. One stroke behind her is Karla Murra, who posted a 156 (+12) to tie for 17th. Tyrette Metzendorf and Jill Marcum posted 19 over par, 163. They are tied for 42nd.
Iowa plays the final round of the Lady Buckeye Invite Sunday with a shotgun start beginning at 8:30 a.m. (CDT). Live stats are available through www.golfstat.com.
