IOWA CITY, IA – Junior Dan Holterhaus has been named Iowa’s men’s golf Big Ten sportsmanship honoree. This honor is for individuals who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior.
Holterhaus, team captain of Iowa’s men’s golf squad, competed for the Hawkeyes in each event of the 2006-07 season, totaling five fall competitions and eight spring competitions. He compiled a 75.69 round average this season and recorded a low round of 68 at the Big Four Championships.
The Hawkeyes concluded their season last weekend by finishing 11th at the Big Ten Championships.
