Hawkeye sophomore swimmer Wil Whaley placed 57th in the 100-meter backstroke (58.92) at the ConocoPhillips USA Swimming National Championships in Indianapolis, IN, earlier today. He placed 26th in the 200-meter back (2:04.65) Wednesday.
Whaley’s Iowa teammate, Nathan Keeling, placed 74th in the 200-meter fly (2:05.94) and 107th in the 100-meter fly (57.25) at the meet earlier this week.
