Hawkeyes Place Ninth at Regionals

PEORIA, IL–Sophomore Jesse Luciano led the Hawkeyes to a ninth place finish placing 15th with a time of 30:30. He received his first all-Region honor.

Junior Andy Napier (33th, 31:08), freshman Mark Battista (60th, 31:53), sophomore Tommy Tate (68th, 32:08), sophomore Jay Renaud (83rd, 32:34), sophomore Brendan Camplin (87th, 32:38) and freshman Sam Bailin (113 th, 33:24) also ran for the Hawkeyes. All seven runners ran 10,000 meter personal bests.

The Hawkeyes ninth place finish lost the Cy-Hawk challenge. The Cyclones placed third with 110 points. Iowa State is currently winning the fourth annual series, 10-3.
