IOWA CITY, Iowa — Tickets for the 2008 Gridiron Bash concert at historic Kinnick Stadium featuring two-time Grammy Award-winner Kelly Clarkson will go on sale Tuesday and Wednesday of next week, the University of Iowa Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced today.
Tickets for the first-ever concert held inside the home of the football Hawkeyes will cost $41 each. The concert will be held Friday, April 18.
Current UI students, persons who purchased 2007 UI football season tickets, and current members of the National I-Club are invited to make their purchase beginning on Tuesday by calling 1-800 IA-HAWKS between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. or by purchasing online at hawkeyesports.com any time after 9 a.m.
The general public will be invited to make their purchase beginning on Wednesday at 9 a.m. Again, purchases can be made by calling 1-800 IA-HAWKS between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. or by purchasing online at hawkeyesports.com any time after 9 a.m.
Over-the-counter sales at the UI Athletics Ticket Office in Carver-Hawkeye Arena will begin at 9 a.m., Thursday.

SOME THINGS TICKET BUYERS SHOULD KNOW
When – Friday, April 18. Entertainment begins at approximately 7 p.m. Gates to historic Kinnick Stadium will open 60 minutes prior.
Where – Historic Kinnick Stadium, the home of the University of Iowa football team
Who – Two-time Grammy Award-winner Kelly Clarkson headlines the first-ever live concert at Kinnick Stadium.
Parking – The details related to parking for this event are yet to be determined. Once determined the UI Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will share that plan with the media and directly with persons who have purchased tickets and have provided the UI with a current e-mail address. That information will also be posted here at hawkeyesports.com, the official world wide web site of the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Please Note – The following items are allowed inside Kinnick Stadium. These items will also be searched at specific entrance gates. All patrons are subject to search and the University of Iowa reserves the right to refuse entry.

No Smoking – Smoking is prohibited in all seating areas, concourses and rest rooms. Smoking is only allowed in designated areas including the open-air corners of Kinnick Stadium.
No Rentry – Patrons will not be permitted to exit and re-enter Kinnick Stadium.
