Assistant Football Coach - Offense

The University of Iowa Athletics Department seeks applications for the position of Assistant Football Coach. This is a full-time, 12-month position and includes full University benefits.

Responsibilities: Responsibilities include coaching an offensive position; recruiting, including determining eligibility of prospective student-athletes and coordinating on-campus visits; assist in development of game plan for each opponent; assist in development of playbook materials; handle personal counseling needs of players directly supervised; public speaking and promotion; other duties as assigned by head coach.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) required. Other required qualifications: Excellent technical and tactical knowledge of the sport of football; ability to recruit national caliber student-athletes; demonstrated knowledge of the NCAA rules and a commitment to adhere to all rules and regulations of the University of Iowa, the Big Ten Conference and the NCAA; demonstrated experience working effectively in a diverse environment; excellent written and verbal communication skills; computer software knowledge; effective organization and administrative skills. Preferred qualifications: At least three years’ Division I intercollegiate coaching experience preferred; ability to effectively meet the development and recruiting needs of the Iowa football program.

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Terms of Employment: Full-time, 12-month appointment, starting date negotiable.
