DIRECTOR OF PREMIUM SEATING & STADIUM CLUB OPERATIONS

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION
The University of Iowa is seeking applicants for a Director of Premium Seating & Stadium Club Operations to provide primary services and support for the basketball premium seating areas of Carver-Hawkeye Arena and for the Kinnick Stadium private suites, indoor and outdoor club seating, the club rooms and other areas used by patrons of The University of Iowa. Responsibilities include: selling or renting available space (suites, club seats, stadium club space); managing the contracts and bills associated with leased space, ticketing and related amenities; developing marketing strategies and materials related to seat inventory; hire, train and supervise game day attendants; liaison with caterer, event management facilities office and ticket office; assist with ticketing, special events and fund raising as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) in Business Administration or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience; excellent verbal and written communication skills; a minimum of three years’ experience in customer service/donor relations/athletic ticketing environment (including sales); strong desire to work with the public; ability to interact with various constituent groups; demonstrated experience working effectively in a diverse environment; general understanding of contracts and lease agreements; knowledge of the Paciolan Ticket and/or Ticketmaster software and programs; proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel and Publisher. Preferred qualifications: Master’s degree desirable. Some knowledge of University payroll and accounting policies and procedures; UI Foundation software databases; and experience in the development of marketing materials. Preference will be given to candidates that can most effectively meet the administrative and development needs of the premium seating program.
