ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY

The University of Iowa Athletics Department seeks applications for two assistant women’s volleyball coaches. Both are full-time, 12-month positions, salary commensurate, and include full University benefits.

Responsibilities: Assist the head coach in the coaching and administration of a Division I intercollegiate women’s volleyball program; recruit as permitted by NCAA rules; assist with practice and match preparation, video and statistical analysis, camps and clinics, community outreach, team travel, and other duties as assigned by the head coach.

Required qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) required; demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and a commitment to high ethical standards and academics; demonstrated experience working effectively in a diverse environment; superior communication skills; effective organization and administrative skills; strong computer skills; and Division I collegiate playing and/or coaching experience.

Preferred qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates that can most effectively meet the recruiting and development needs of the women’s volleyball program. Desired skills include some combination of the following: Experience as a successful Division I volleyball recruiting coordinator, superior technical and tactical knowledge and/or exceptional physical training experience in one or more areas, video editing experience.
