Student-athletes will talk with and go on walks with elderly residents of retirement and nursing homes. They will interact with youth at neighborhood centers and they will help to clean up local parks. A number of other projects are also on the agenda for the student-athletes.

Some of the agencies involved, so far, are Johnson County Neighborhood Centers, Miracles in Motion, Creek Cleanup, Local Food Connection, The River Run, Garlic Mustard Pull, Mayor’s Youth Empowerment Program, Rape Victim’s Advocacy Program, The Salvation Army, Pathways Adult Daycare, Four Oaks Emergency Shelter, United Action for Youth, Elder Services and Women’s Resource and Action Center.
