ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY

The University of Iowa Athletics Department seeks applications for an assistant women’s soccer coach.  This is a full-time, 12-month position and includes full University benefits.   

 

Responsibilities:  Assist the head coach in the coaching and administration of a Division I intercollegiate women’s soccer program; work with staff in preparing for home matches; video analysis; develop and maintain statistical performance records for the program; community outreach; team travel; coordinate on- and off-campus recruiting and other duties as assigned by the head coach.

 

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) required; Master’s preferred.  Required qualifications:  Strong technical and tactical knowledge in teaching and coaching soccer; at least three years of women’s soccer coaching experience at the Division I level and experience with ODP and/or high level club coaching experience required.  Demonstrated knowledge of the NCAA rules and a commitment to adhere to all rules and regulations of the University of Iowa, the Big Ten Conference and the NCAA; demonstrated experience working effectively in a diverse environment; superior communication skills, effective organization and administrative skills and proficiency with computer software applications.  Preferred qualifications:  Demonstrated success in recruiting high-level Division I student-athletes. Experience at NCAA tournament competition as a player or coach and experience coaching female athletes preferred.  Preference will be given to candidates that most effectively meet the athletic development and recruiting needs of the women’s soccer program.

 

Salary:  Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
