The University of Iowa Athletics Department seeks applications for an assistant women’s volleyball coach. This is a full-time, 12-month position, salary commensurate, and includes full University benefits.
Responsibilities: Assist the head coach in the coaching and administration of a Division I intercollegiate women’s volleyball program; video editing and video/statistical analysis; camps and clinics; assist with practice and match preparation; recruit as permitted by NCAA rules; community outreach; and other duties as assigned by the head coach.
Required qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) required; demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and a commitment to high ethical standards and academics; video editing/analysis experience; demonstrated experience working effectively in a diverse environment; superior communication skills; effective organization and administrative skills; strong computer skills; and Division I collegiate playing and/or coaching experience.
Preferred qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates that can most effectively meet the recruiting and development needs of the women’s volleyball program. Desired skills include some combination of the following: Superior technical and tactical knowledge and/or exceptional physical training experience in one or more areas.
