DENVER, CO – University of Iowa senior golfer Alison Cavanaugh qualified for the US Women’s Amateur after shooting 77 at Green Gables Country Club in Denver, CO on July 21st. She was in a four hole playoff for the final qualifying spot. The USWA will be held August 3rd-7th at Old Warson Country Club in St. Louis, MO.
Cavanaugh, a Littleton, CO, native, competed in nine tournaments last season. She recorded a career-low 18-hole score (73) and 54-hole score (244) at the Hawkeye Invitational
