IOWA CITY, IA – The University of Iowa strength and conditioning program is pleased to announce the release of its new website, which will be a part of the tremendously popular and widely viewed hawkeyesports.com. The site will provide Hawkeye fans weekly features spotlighting different teams and individuals throughout the Iowa Athletics Department. It will include personnel and nutritional information and continually announce upcoming strength and conditioning events. The site will also provide information regarding the department’s organizational structure and philosophy.
“The site was designed to serve several departmental needs,” said Director of Strength and Conditioning J.C. Moreau. “It allows us to provide our fans an inside look into the tremendous amount of hard work the student-athletes put into their year-round training regimen. We hope this site provides Hawkeye fans a better understanding of the dedication and time that our Olympic sport student-athletes commit to strength and conditioning. This is an aspect that we believe is often overlooked and one for which our student-athletes deserve considerable recognition.
“We would like to thank Rick Klatt (UI Associate Director of Athletics), Phil Haddy (Sports Information Director), Chris Brewer (Assistant Sports Information Director) and Assistant Strength Coach Dan Hammes for making this happen. A great deal of work went into the completion of this project and we are thankful for all the support and assistance we received from our athletics department.”
The strength and conditioning staff invites fans to visit the site for weekly updates and highlights regarding Hawkeye teams and student-athletes.
