Assistant Women's Soccer Coach

The University of Iowa Athletics Department seeks applications for an assistant women’s soccer coach. This is a full-time, 12-month position and includes full University benefits.

Responsibilities: Assist the head coach in the coaching and administration of a Division I intercollegiate women’s soccer program; work with staff in preparing for home matches; video analysis; develop and maintain statistical performance records for the program; community outreach; team travel; coordinate on- and off-campus recruiting and other duties as assigned by the head coach.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) required. Required qualifications: Strong technical and tactical knowledge in teaching and coaching soccer; knowledge of teaching the position of goalkeeper required. Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and a commitment to adhere to all rules and regulations of the University of Iowa, the Big Ten Conference and the NCAA; demonstrated experience working effectively in a diverse environment; superior communication skills, effective organization and administrative skills and proficiency with computer software applications required. Preferred qualifications: One to three years of playing and/or coaching collegiate women at the NCAA Division I or NCAA championship level; playing or coaching females at ODP and/or high level club preferred. Preference will be given to candidates that most effectively meet the athletic development and recruiting needs of the women’s soccer program.

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
