Today’s Summer Spotlight is Aimee Huffman, a senior marketing major from Ploth, TX.

What was your favorite memory from the 2009 season?
“Breaking Penn State’s winning streak.”

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself?
“I am interning in London this summer for a music/entertainment PR agency!”

Why did you choose the University of Iowa and Iowa Volleyball?
“I love the campus and everything about Iowa City.”

Favorite Iowa volleyball player (past or present) to watch and why?
Katie Kennedy because her tuck jumps are amazing!”

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
“Maui or somewhere with beautiful beaches.”

Favorite thing about Iowa Volleyball team?
“The amazing life-long friendships I have made.”

What super power would you most like to have? Why?
“I would be able to become invisible and travel to places I could never normally go, like the White House.”

If you could play another sport in college what would it be and why?
“Diving, because I can’t! And I think it would be really exciting.”

Most played song (& by whom) on your iPod?
“Dreams – Cranberries.”

What is the best characteristic about you?
“My laid-back and caring personality.”

What is something you can’t live without? Why?
“My family and friends because they keep me sane and smiling!”

Future plans after graduating from the University of Iowa?
“Travel abroad and see where it takes me!”

The best thing about volleyball is… being able to forget about everything else on your mind but the game.
