24 Hawkeyes to Watch (2009-10 season)
IOWA CITY, IA – The University of Iowa will announce its 2010 Athletics Hall of Fame class Friday in Iowa City and the public is invited to attend. The announcement will be made Friday at the University’s Roy G. Karro Athletics Hall of Fame Building.
The announcement of the 2010 Athletics Hall of Fame class will take place at 6 p.m. Speakers at the event include Iowa Athletic Director Gary Barta and Varsity Club President Orville Townsend. The actual induction ceremony for the 2010 Athletics Hall of Fame Class will take place September 4, 2010.
The Hall of Fame building will be open the entire weekend at no charge to the public as part of Hall of Fame and Varsity Club Weekend at the University of Iowa.
The University will also announce its plans to honor former Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Forest Evashevski Friday during the Hall of Fame announcement.
