Today’s Summer Spotlight is Tiffany Nilges, a junior pharmacy major from Tripoli, IA.

What was your favorite memory from the 2009 season?
“Taking a game from Penn State at their place.”

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself?
“I use to do tumbling when I was little and won nationals doing somersaults.”

Why did you choose the University of Iowa and Iowa Volleyball?
“I liked the girls and the location seemed to fit really well.”

Favorite volleyball player (past or present) to watch and why?
“Kerri Walsh and Misty May, because I’ve tried to play sand volleyball and its harder than it looks and they make it look so easy.”

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
“Europe.”

Favorite thing about Iowa Volleyball Team?
“The long lasting friends I’ve made.”

What super power would you most like to have? Why?
“The power to know everything, because knowledge is the key to many things in life.”

If you could play another sport in college what would it be and why?
“Softball, I really enjoyed playing it in high school.”

Most played song (& by whom) on your iPod?
Crawl by Chris Brown”

What is the best characteristic about you?
“I’m level headed and think before I act.”

What is something you can’t live without? Why?
“My bed, because I sleep more than anyone.”

Future plans after graduating from the University of Iowa?
“Move somewhere warm with Mal (Husz) for grad school.”

I play best when… I’m having fun.

The best thing about volleyball is… the people you meet and the experiences you have. Very few get the opportunity to do what we do.

I hope to be remembered in life for… giving back to people.

On day I will… travel the world.
