Iowa Fans: HerkyPhoto Just Got Better

Oct. 29, 2010

North Liberty, Iowa, – For the past year, fans of the University of Iowa have been able to upload their personal images and use the licensed marks of the Hawkeyes. Bravo Photo teamed up with Iowa to offer a website that caters to the school’s fan base. The online store is similar to more established sites like Snapfish and Shutterfly, but differs in the fact that it allows the consumer the opportunity to use licensed marks and templates with their own personal images.

The site has undergone a complete re-design and now it’s even easier to combine your photos and your school spirit to capture your memories. It’s the perfect way to personalize your Iowa pride.

On the site, members upload their own photographic images and have a broad range of photo gift products from which to choose. Some of the products that can be purchased with the licensed Iowa marks are cards, calendars, photo books, holiday cards, mouse pads, mugs, playing cards, puzzles, pillow cases, blankets and invitations. The site also offers thousands of traditional designs, including seasonal themes or milestone life events such as graduation and birth announcements.

The “community” sharing on the site also allows fans from across the country to share their best photos with the entire university fan base.

www.HerkyPhoto.com allows alumni, fans, and people with an affinity for the university to upload their personal images and attach them with templates and marks of the school. “This unique opportunity will allow people who love the University of Iowa to show off their pride in ways that have never been offered before”, said Dave Gallagher, Vice President of Bravo Photo. “People will be able to display their photos and show their loyalty to the school at the same time.”

Iowa is among 13 other collegiate institutions, including 5 in the Big 10 with which Bravo Photo has licensing agreements. As an added bonus to customers, a portion of all sales benefits the institution. “One of the best features of the site is that a portion of all sales is earmarked to go back to directly benefit Iowa,” added Gallagher. “Not only are you showing your loyalty and purchasing great products, but you are also giving back to your school.”

Bravo Photo has also forged a partnership with CBS Sports College Network, which will include collaboratively launching and promoting a website, www.CollegeFanPhoto.com to promote the entire family of university specific photo sites.

The site specifically for the University of Iowa is www.HerkyPhoto.CollegeFanPhoto.com.
