IOWA CITY, Iowa — This Week `On Iowa’ caught up with the coaching staffs of four Iowa sports on Nov. 23.
This week features head baseball coach Jack Dahm, Iowa volleyball assistant coach Jason Allen, head rowing coach Mandi Kowal and head men’s golf coach Mark Hankins.
Dahm talked about the returnees for the 2011 Hawkeyes and the expectations for the squad coming off a season in which they played for the Big Ten Tournament title. Dahm also touched on his current recruiting class that was named the best in the Big Ten Conference.
Allen talked about the benefits for the volleyball program in playing on the Big Ten Network for the fourth time this weekend. Iowa hosts No. 7 Penn State on Friday afternoon on the BTN before closing out the season against Ohio State on Saturday evening.
Kowal touched on her squad’s highlights from the fall, including the Head of Iowa, which took place on Halloween.
Hankins rounded out the This Week `On Iowa’, as he recapped Iowa’s superb fall season, where it captured four tournament titles. Hankins also touched on the competition on the team and what the Hawkeyes will work on prior to spring competition commencing in February.
