Celebrate the Season by Sharing Your Most Memorable Black-and-Gold Experience

Dec. 14, 2010

IOWA CITY, Iowa – In the season of giving and sharing, the UI Athletics Department is inviting fans of the Hawkeyes to share their most memorable black-and-gold experience to celebrate the season and a chance to celebrate with friends and fans at a non-conference game of their choice next football season.

Was it a bowl game with the family? A snowy road trip to Carver-Hawkeye Arena with your dad? A marriage proposal inside historic Kinnick Stadium? Whatever your most memorable moment, share it in 500 words or less at gohawks@hawkeyesports.comsubject: HAWKEYE MEMORIES – and you could be one of seven stories published on the official website of the Iowa Hawkeyes. We will post one story per day beginning Dec. 21, seven days before the Hawkeyes face Missouri in the valley of the sun Dec. 28.

If your story is one of the seven chosen for online publication, you will receive six tickets to a home men’s or women’s basketball game of your choice this winter. Of the seven selected entries, one lucky winner will receive 10 tickets to a 2011 non-conference home football game of their choice. The winner will also receive a souvenir football and a $50 gift certificate redeemable at the concessions stands at Kinnick Stadium. If your story is not among one of the seven finalists, you’ll be placed in a pool and eligible to win six tickets to a non-conference home game of the 2010 Iowa Hawkeyes. The randomly selected winners will be announced at halftime of the Insight Bowl on the Official Iowa Football Blog.

In addition to keeping your entries to 500 words or less, please submit a relevant photo and include your contact information. Entries will be accepted until 12 p.m. Dec. 20.
