Hawk Talk with Lisa, Fran Tonight

IOWA CITY, Iowa — Fans of the basketball teams at the University of Iowa can enjoy a double-does of talk about the Hawkeyes tonight when Lisa Bluder and Fran McCaffery stage their weekly radio call-in shows beginning at 6 p.m. Iowa time.

Hawk Talk with Lisa Bluder featuring Iowa’s veteran head coach and Brent Balbinot, the play-by-play voice of Iowa women’s basketball on the Hawkeye Radio Network will broadcast live from Mondo’s Sports Café on the Coralville Strip beginning at 6 p.m. Bluder will undoubtedly talk about the Hawkeyes’ come-from-behind victory at Northwestern Sunday and Wednesday night’s game against Wisconsin on Mediacom Court inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

Iowa’s game Wednesday tips off at 7 p.m. and is the final “Family 4-Pack” game of the 2010-11 season for Bluder’s Bunch. Fans purchasing a “4-Pack” receive four game tickets, four hot dogs, and four soft drinks for just $20. At 7 p.m., its McCaffery’s turn. Iowa’s first-year head coach will join Gary Dolphin, the radio voice of Iowa men’s basketball, at Carlos O’Kelly’s Mexican Café on Gilbert Street in Iowa City for 90 minutes of talk about the Hawkeyes.

Iowa travels to Northwestern on Thursday before entertaining Michigan Saturday afternoon in the Arena.
