IOWA CITY, Iowa — The UI Athletics Ticket Office is now accepting orders for season tickets for the 2011 football season and the 2011-12 men’s basketball season from current UI students who will be registered for classes next fall and are in good academic standing.
UI students have three options: They can place an order for season tickets for both sports this spring and, therefore, guarantee themselves access to every home game played by the Iowa football and men’s basketball teams next year.
They can also opt to purchase only football or men’s basketball at this time with the understanding that there is no guarantee football or men’s basketball student season tickets will be available for purchase next fall.
The cost of a UI student season ticket to the home games of the 2011 Iowa football team is $174. That cost drops to $161 for participants in the UI Alumni Association’s STAT (Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow) program. The Iowa football team will play seven games at historic Kinnick Stadium next fall.
The cost of a UI student season to the home games of the 2011-12 Iowa men’s basketball team is $90 and includes free tickets for one to-be-determined home game against a non-conference opponent and one to-be-determined home game against a Big Ten Conference opponent. The Iowa men’s basketball team’s home schedule for 2011-12 will include 20 games.
UI students must place their season ticket order online by clicking HERE. The order will be placed on their U-Bill in August for payment.
Students will receive an e-mail that confirms their purchase. They will also receive an e-mail in late July detailing the process for pick-up of football season tickets and another e-mail in October that details when pick-up of men’s basketball season tickets will occur.
