Big Ten Title Leads to National Ranking

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa men’s track and field team appeared at No. 21 in the USTFCCCA Division I team rankings released today. The Hawkeyes made their first appearance of the season in the national rankings after capturing the Big Ten Championship last weekend in Iowa City.

Iowa crowned three Big Ten champions and earned a medal in 11 events en route to its first conference title since 1967.

The Hawkeyes return to action at the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore., May 26-28. The top 48 individual event performers and the top 24 relay teams from each region (East/West) qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championships. A complete list of NCAA participants will be announced Thursday, May 19.
