IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa volleyball program will host its third-annual Coaches Clinic Aug. 13-14 in the new practice gym at the soon-to-be renovated Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The two-day clinic will include the Hawkeye coaching staff and special guests Tom Keating and Kathy Bresnahan.
Keating was head coach at Iowa high school powerhouse Dubuque Wahlert, guiding his team to 17 conference championships and 11 state titles. Keating has received numerous awards, including the 2003 NFHS and prepvolleyball.com National Coach of the Year. In 2002, Keating was inducted into the NHSACA Hall of Fame. He has been named Iowa High School Coach of the Year seven times. During his time at Dubuque Wahlert, Keating collected an impressive 776-82 record.
Bresnahan is the head coach at Iowa City West High School; where she led her team to last season’s Class 4A Iowa State Championship and was named 2010 Class 4A Iowa Coach of the year.
