Home of the Hawkeyes

IOWA CITY, Iowa — The UI Athletics Ticket Office has a new home – again.

University of Iowa administrators, coaches and staff moved back into Carver-Hawkeye Arena today following a $43 million addition and revitalization of Iowa’s award winning facility. The new ticket office, located at the West Entrance of Carver-Hawkeye Arena, will begin operating from its new location Friday, July 29.

“The new ticket office will allow us to be much more efficient,” said assistant ticket manager Mike Osmundson. “The main entrance will have five ticket windows with more operating space for our staff and our fans. We’ve also added two ticket windows to the East Entrance for gameday use. I think our fans will find Carver-Hawkeye Arena much more accessible.”

The athletics department had been temporarily operating from the Paul W. Brechler football press box, so the return trip to Carver-Hawkeye Arena was a welcomed homecoming. In addition to the administrative offices, the renovation includes a new multi-court practice facility for the basketball and volleyball teams, an 11,000-square foot strength-and-conditioning center and a renovated wrestling complex. There will also be wider concourses, additional restrooms, new hospitality and meeting spaces combined with club facilities for Hawkeye fans who participate in a variety of premium seating options.
