Everyone continues to improve and we are still looking to put it all together for three rounds. We continue to have some strong individual performances, especially Kristi and Lauren in Tucson, and we hope to continue to build on that momentum.”

HAWKEYES SWEEP MATCHES IN ARIZONA
The Hawkeyes picked up two wins over spring break, defeating Harvard and in-state rival Iowa State. Freshmen duo Amy Ihm and Briana Midkiff each posted sub-80 rounds against Harvard to help Iowa pull out the victory in the stroke play. Kristi Cardwell led the way for the Hawkeyes against Iowa State firing a 70 (-2) to help Iowa defeat the Cyclones, 8-7, in a match play setting. “We really gained some confidence from our seven day trip,” Menzel said. “Now, we look forward to carrying that into our final tournaments of the season.”
