IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa volleyball team has announced dates for an all-volleyball reunion to be held April 27-28 in Iowa City. This event is open to all former Iowa volleyball players and guests.
The reunion opens with a welcome tailgate on Saturday, the 27th, prior to the Spring Football Practice. Lunch will be provided in the Feller Club Room on the top level of Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The volleyball program will be awarding “I” Letters to female athletes who competed between 1973 and 1997 and did not receive the award following their careers at Iowa during this event.
Following the tailgate, the group will head to Kinnick Stadium to enjoy the football team’s spring practice.
At the conclusion of the Spring Practice, all former letterwinners are encouraged to participate in the Alumni Match, which will be played on the main court inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena around 3:00 p.m. Current Iowa volleyball players will coach and officiate the match. At 6 p.m., a social will be held in the upstairs room of the Airliner in downtown Iowa City.
On Sunday, the group is scheduled to gather for a lunch at 11 a.m. prior to meeting at Pearl Field, where the Iowa softball team hosts Penn State at 1 p.m. Volleyball reunion members in attendance will be recognized between innings.
Invites and RSVP’s were mailed in early March. Those who did not receive one are encouraged to contact iowavarsityclub@hawkeyesports.com so that your address can be updated in our database and an invite can be mailed to you.
