IOWA CITY, Iowa — Former University of Iowa All-American Diane Nukuri-Johnson set a personal-best and a Burundi national record when she crossed the finish line of the Boston Marathon in 2:29.54. Nukuri-Johnson placed 23rd overall and eighth among women.
Monday’s performance narrowly beat her personal and national record of 2:30.13, set at the 2012 London Olympics.
