IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa Athletics Department announced Monday that tickets to the 25th Hall of Fame Class’ induction ceremony are now available for purchase. This event is open to the public and the Club encourages all Hawkeye fans to take this opportunity to celebrate with these great Hawkeye athletes while they are being inducted into the Iowa Athletics Hall of Fame.
The National Iowa Varsity Club will induct six former Hawkeyes into the Athletics Hall of Fame at the Coralville Marriott Hotel and Convention Center on Aug. 30, the night before the Iowa football team opens the 2013 season hosting Northern Illinois.
The banquet and dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m. (CT) inside the Grand Coral Ballroom. A reception will precede the dinner beginning at 5:30 p.m. (CT).
The 25th Hall of Fame Class includes Iowa football All-Americans Brad Banks and Craig Clemons, All-America gymnast Sam Bailie, women’s basketball conference player of the year Franthea Price, track and field All-American Jennifer Brower-McNutt, and two-time Big Ten women’s golf coach of the year Diane Thomason.
Tickets to the Hall of Fame induction ceremony can be purchased for $35 by calling the Varsity Club office at (319) 335-9438. Tickets much be purchased in advance and will remain on sale until Friday, Aug. 23.
Single-game tickets for all seven Hawkeye home contests inside Kinnick Stadium are available on hawkeyesports.com. Iowa opens the season Aug. 31, hosting Northern Illinois at 2:30 p.m. (CT).
