IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa sophomore Klyvens Delaunay will compete in the triple jump Saturday at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The event begins at 7 p.m. (CT) at the Albuquerque Convention Center.
Delaunay is one of 16 national qualifiers in the event. He earned a position in the field with a season-best performance of 52-1 1/4 (15.88m) at the ISU Classic, a mark that ties for second in school history.
Delaunay is competing in his first NCAA Indoor Championships. He earned All-America honors at the 2013 Outdoor Track and Field Championships, and recently placed third at the 2014 Big Ten Indoor Championships.
ESPN3 will stream the meet live beginning Saturday at 6:50 p.m. (CT). A tape delay of the championships will air Saturday, March 22 at 5:30 p.m. (CT) on ESPNU.
