DALLAS — The University of Iowa women’s golf team carded a 315 (+27) on Saturday in the second round of the Dallas Athletic Club Invitational. The Hawkeyes’ two-round total of 630 (+54) is good for 15th in a field of 16 teams, including eight ranked opponents.
Freshman Allison Lindley led the Hawkeyes, firing a 75 (+3) to sit tied for 16th place on the leaderboard. Lindley’s 36-hole total of 151 (+7) marks a new career best.
Senior Karly Grouwinkel carded a 75 (+3), improving five strokes from the opening round. Her two-round score of 155 (+11) ties her for 37th.
Shelby Phillips shot an 84 (+12). After two rounds, the junior sits tied for 64th place with a score of 161 (+17).
Freshman Jessie Sindlinger is tied for 76th. Sindlinger fired an 81 (+9) in the second round for a two-round total of 163 (+19).
Sophomore Briana Midkiff recorded an 85 (+13). Her 36-hole total of 171 (+27) is good for 85th place overall.
The Hawkeyes wrap up competition at the Dallas Athletic Club Invitational on Sunday. The final round will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. (CT). Live scoring will be available at golfstat.com.
