IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa All-American Aaron Mallett is among seven Hawkeyes, past and present, competing at the 2015 USATF Outdoor Championships this week in Eugene, Oregon.
The USATF Outdoor Championships serve as the 2015 World Team Trials and are held in conjunction with the 2015 USATF Junior Outdoor Championships.
Mallett (110-meter hurdles), Big Ten champion Elexis Guster (400 meters), and former All-Americans Bethany Praska (800 meters) and Erik Sowinski (800 meters) are competing for spots on the 2015 IAAF World Championships team. The World Championships are Aug. 22-30 in Beijing, China.
University of Iowa freshmen Kayla Hochhalter (javelin), Noah Larrison (400-meter hurdles) and Reno Tuufuli (discus) are competing for U.S. junior national championships and a chance to represent Team USA at the Pan Am Junior Championships in Edmonton, Canada, from July 31-Aug. 2.
The NBC family of networks will provide coverage of the Championships beginning Friday.
