IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa track and field team qualified three student-athletes and one relay to the 2016 NCAA Indoor Championships in Birmingham, Alabama, from March 11-12.
Junior All-American Aaron Mallett will represent the Hawkeyes in the men’s 60-meter hurdles. The St. Louis native ties for fourth in the country with a personal-best 7.69. He placed sixth in the event at the 2015 NCAA Indoor Championships.

Making their first NCAA indoor appearances are junior Elexis Guster and senior Will Teubel.
Guster stands eighth nationally in the women’s 400 meters with a collegiate-best 52.36, while Teubel is the 16th seed (1:47.74) in the men’s 800 meters.
Senior MonTayla Holder, freshman Briana Guillory, junior Alexis Hernandez, and Guster are the first 1,600-meter relay on the women’s side to qualify for an indoor national meet in program history. The quartet owns the 12th-fastest time in the nation at 3:32.93.
