IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa women’s golfer Kristin Glesne has been named a Women’s Collegiate Golf All-American Scholar, the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) announced Tuesday.
A total of 828 women’s golf student-athletes earned the honor with a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher. Glesne is one of 36 Big Ten student-athletes to receive the award. It is the first academic honor of her career.
Glesne competed in six tournaments in her freshman campaign. The San Antonio, Texas, native helped the Hawkeyes capture their first team title since 2012 with her 29th-place finish at the Diane Thomason Invitational (233; +17) on Sept. 12-13.
