BIRMINGHAM, United Kingdom – University of Iowa track and field junior Jahisha Thomas jumped to a new lifetime best in the triple jump at the United Kingdom World team trials July 1-2.
Thomas competed in the long jump and triple jump, finishing fourth and third, respectively. Her 13.25 meter jump (43-5 3/4) in the triple jump set a new personal best and earned her a third place finish.
The London native ranks second in school history in the event and is a two-time All-American in the long jump.
