IOWA CITY, Iowa — Junior Briana Guillory has been named Big Ten Track Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday.
Guillory recorded the fastest 400 meter time in the country during the Larry Wieczorek Invitational on Jan. 20 with a time of 52.95. The Antioch, California, native finished runner-up to 2012 Olympian and former All-American Georganne Moline. Guillory also helped the Iowa women’s 4×400 meter relay to a first-place finish and 10th best time in the country (3:37.37), splitting 51.05 on the third leg.
