IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa sophomore Hannah Burvill has qualified for the 2018 NCAA Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships for the first time in her career. The championships will be held at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion in Columbus, Ohio, from March 14-17.
Burvill, a native of Pyrford, Great Britain, will compete in the 200-yard freestyle on Friday, March 16. She currently ranks 22nd nationally in the event with a time of 1:44.42. The time, which was set at the 2018 Big Ten Championships, is a school record.
It is the fourth straight season the Iowa women’s team has had at least one NCAA qualifier. The Hawkeyes placed 26th at the NCAA Championships last season.
