COLUMBUS, Ohio — University of Iowa sophomore Hannah Burvill swam to a career-best and school record in the 100-yard freestyle event on Saturday at the NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships at the McCorkle Aquatics Pavilion.
Burvill touched in at 48.94 to finish 37th in the prelims. The Pyrford, Great Britain, native shattered the school record (49.10) that she originally set at the Minnesota Invitational.
Sophomore Thelma Strandberg finished 35th in the prelims of the platform. Strandberg dove to a final score of 221.90.
