Hawkeyes Complete Day 2 of NCAAs

AUSTIN, Texas — The University of Iowa women’s swimming and diving team completed its first day of the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships on Thursday at the Lee & Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center.

Sophomore diver Jayah Mathews rounded out a score of 268.90 off the 1-meter springboard in preliminary competition. The Australia native finished at No. 26 overall in the field.
 
Junior Hannah Burvill swam a time of 22.87 in the 50-yard freestyle prelims, earning No. 46 overall.
 
UP NEXT
The Hawkeyes hit the pool again Friday with Burvill competing in the 200 free.  Mathews and freshman Sam Tamborski will dive off the 3-meter.
