Hawkeyes Fall to Alabama in Day 3

ATHENS, Georgia– The University of Iowa women’s golf team lost to Alabama on the final day of match play at the Liz Murphy Collegiate Classic hosted by the University of Georgia. Brett Permann and Manuela Lizarazu registered individual victories for Iowa on Saturday.

Permann defeated Alabama’s Anna Reid, 3-and-2, on Saturday. Manuela Lizarazu defeated Alabama’s Mary Mac Trammel, 3-up through 15.
 
On Friday morning, Denver defeated Iowa, 5-0, in the first round. On Friday afternoon, Shawn Rennegarbe defeated Daytona State’s Sadie Chlapowski, 5-and-4. Dana Lerner secured Iowa’s second individual victory of the day by defeating Daytona State’s Alison Crenshaw, 7-and-6. Daytona State defeated Iowa, 3-2.
