3 Hawkeyes Named WGCA All-American Scholars

IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa sophomore Stephanie Herzog, junior Brett Permann, and senior Shawn Rennegarbe were named All-American Scholars, the Women’s Golf Coaches Association announced Monday.
 
The student-athletes must have a 3.50 minimum GPA to be selected.
 
Herzog is an accounting, English, and creative writing major. This Spring, she competed in five tournaments and tied her career best 36-hole score of 153 (+9) at the Bruzzy Challenge on April 1-2.
 
Permann is a therapeutic recreation major. She competed in six tournaments and carded two rounds at-or-below par. She was also named the Hawkeyes’ most improved player.
 
Rennegarbe majored in biomedical engineering. During the 2018-19, she was named Big Ten Golfer of the Week after medaling at the Diane Thomason Invitational on September 29-30.
