Men’s Golf Signs Macfie

IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa men’s golf program and head coach Tyler Stith announced on Wednesday that prep Callum Macfie has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend to the University of Iowa.

“Callum is a strong, intelligent player with a very good resume,” Stith said. “He checks all the boxes and will be a great addition to our program.”

  • Fairhaven Trophy Champion (2019), back-to-back Stroke Play Champion of Nottinghamshire Schools, North of England U16 Champion (2017) at nine-under-par, and Nottinghamshire Schools Match Play Champion (2015)
  • Yorkshire Boys Junior Captain (2018) and International Captain for England Schools versus Wales
  • England Golf Regional squad member since 2014
  • Competed in rugby, cricket, swimming, badminton, tennis, and soccer growing up
  • His parents are Hamish and Dawn, and he has an older sister, Lauren
  • Intended major: Health and human physiology/exercise science

Iowa’s spring season begins Feb. 7-8 in Palm Coast, Florida, at the Big Ten Match Play Championship.
