IOWA CITY, Iowa— The University of Iowa track and field team travels to Champaign, Illinois, this weekend to compete at the Illini B1G Multi-Meet on Saturday. The Hawkeyes are sending senior Dallyssa Huggins, sophomore Tionna Tobias and freshman Gabbi Bullard to compete in the pentathlon. The pentathlon consisted of five events, 60-meter hurdles, high jump, shot put, long jump, and the 800 meters. Competition begins Jan. 30th at 10 a.m. (CT) and conclude at 2:50 p.m. (CT).
Senior Dallysssa Huggins will be competing in the fourth pentathlon of her career this weekend and her first this year. She is currently ranked fifth all-time in program history with a score of 3,785 points.
Sophomore Tionna Tobias will be competing in her second pentathlon of her career. Tobias first competed at the 2020 Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational, where she finished sixth with 2,724 points. Freshman Gabbi Bullard will be making her debut in the pentathlon this weekend.
