BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The University of Iowa women’s golf team finished 14th at the Indiana Invitational at the Pfau Course in Bloomington, Indiana. The Hawkeyes shot +53 (917) in three rounds of golf.
Sunday began with the final part of the second round and the entirety of the third round where Iowa closed with a 306 (+18).
Sophomore Lea Zeitler finished the tournament with a 75 (+3) in the final two rounds after opening with a 77. Zeitler shared 42nd place on the individual leaderboard with her +11 (227) total.
Sophomore Morgan Goldstein shot 80 in the final round and tied for 46th. Her tournament score was 228 (+12), highlighted by two 74-stroke rounds to kick off the weekend.
Sophomore Jacque Galloway shared 62nd and shot a final round +6 (78). Galloway’s tournament score was 232 (+16). Both Galloway and Zeitler were top-15 in total pars this weekend.
Both Manuela Lizarazu and Dana Lerner shot their best round of the weekend in the third. A 77 and 76 gave the two juniors shares of 76th and 87th places. Lizarazu’s tournament total was 236 (+20) and Lerner’s finished at 240 (+24).
Sophomore Lilly Gentzkow finished in 93rd with a three-round score of 247 (+31).
The Hawkeyes travel to Cincinnati, Ohio, to compete in the Big Ten Championship on April 23-25.
